BEFORE THE LABOR ROOM EXPERIENCE

Following mommy's disclosure that she's pregnant, plans were joyfully and jointly set into motion to make AdaChijokx's arrival remarkable. Although, it was a long wait for approximately 39weeks but was exciting and worth the wait! During those periods, mommy experienced intermittent mild cramps during her first trimester, but gradually faded away along the other trimesters and eventually, the successful delivery of AdaChijokes. During mommy's last trimester, baby's item shopping intensified out of joy and excitement, likewise baby's gifts received.Gifts kept pouring in via AdaChijokx-baby registry from friends and family.

On the other hand, plans for baby's shower started and list of invites was made by Daddy and mommy. Although, Chikamso had two showers at two different locations (Tampa and Orlando) both in Florida. Orlando-shower was hosted by Chioma and Dr.Chinenye for mommy and daddy, the baby's gender was ceremonially unveiled during the Orlando-shower. The Tampa-shower was hosted by grandpa and grandma, both events were remarkable and there was a good turn out of people with lots of gifts and good wishes.

BIOLOGICAL MILES AND THE MOTHERLAND EXPERIENCE

So many has happened within a very short period. I couldn't believe how fast I have accumulated many biological mileage. I have grown many teeth, walk, run, enrolled in preschool and now learning to speak and do some sign languages. Aside personal developments, I have had my first international flight experience to my motherland earlier this year at mere 7months to attend my grand dad's funeral. Although, that wasn't how I imagined my first visit to motherland, but fate made it so. The planning process involves a lot, like completing my immunization, having my international passport, and other paper and health work. Although, the travel itself was short, but the experience is amazingly remarkable. POWERFUL FEELING OF BEING TWO

For some reason I woke up yesterday feeling so powerful. I couldn't understand the feeling until I realized it was actually my birthday! whatever that means. Yay! it was my second birthday! I felt so powerful perhaps because of the surprising early morning 'happy birthday' song by Nonyelum's choir group led by my adorable mom with my daddy and great grandma as members. Maybe because it was my day, maybe not, maybe because of milestones I accomplished. Maybe not. Regardless of the reason behind the feeling, I am sure I exceeded all my milestones and that alone could not have been more fun without growing older by a way of adding another year! Yes! a day to celebrate just me, I guess that's what birthday means.
