SOLEMNITY OF THE GREATEST MISSIONARY


They were once in service of their own personal agenda; one was a generational fisherman and the other, a trained lawyer and a ruthless persecutor of Christians. But, the power of Holy Spirit transformed their lives into a Life of Intentionality! Although, they had different profession, skills and gifts, but one purpose; salvation for mankind through the gospel of Christ. 

Peter a mere self centered fisherman just as most of us especially our leaders, but through divine intervention became the Prince of the Apostles, the Rock to whom the keys to Heaven were given by Christ himself. Saul the lawyer on the other end, just like Shekau of BokoHaram was a ruthless prosecutor and persecutor of people with different religious ideology. However, it didn't last forever, God intervened in his own time, when Saul was on his way to Damascus to persecute the people of God and the rest is history. 


Today the Catholic church is marking the solemnity for their contributions to the gospel. Same God is still alive today! We beseech thee oh God to use these saints (St.Peter & St.Paul) as a point of contact on this day to intervene for your helpless people of Nigeria under attacks by the Bokoharam sect . Just as in the days of Saul, please reach out to the hearts of BokoHaram, their sponsors and Nigeria's leaders most who are corrupt, transform them from selfishness  into a life of selflessness and good purpose, from violence into peace minded, so that a lasting peace, hope and better life will reign over our country,Nigeria and our world once again. Amen!

BIOLOGICAL MILES AND THE MOTHERLAND EXPERIENCE

So many has happened within a very short period. I couldn't believe how fast I have accumulated many biological mileage. I have grown many teeth, walk, run, enrolled in preschool and now learning to speak and do some sign languages. Aside personal developments, I have had my first international flight experience to my motherland earlier this year at mere 7months to attend my grand dad's funeral. Although, that wasn't how I imagined my first visit to motherland, but fate made it so. The planning process involves a lot, like completing my immunization, having my international passport, and other paper and health work. Although, the travel itself was short, but the experience is amazingly remarkable. POWERFUL FEELING OF BEING TWO

For some reason I woke up yesterday feeling so powerful. I couldn't understand the feeling until I realized it was actually my birthday! whatever that means. Yay! it was my second birthday! I felt so powerful perhaps because of the surprising early morning 'happy birthday' song by Nonyelum's choir group led by my adorable mom with my daddy and great grandma as members. Maybe because it was my day, maybe not, maybe because of milestones I accomplished. Maybe not. Regardless of the reason behind the feeling, I am sure I exceeded all my milestones and that alone could not have been more fun without growing older by a way of adding another year! Yes! a day to celebrate just me, I guess that's what birthday means.
