In few days AdaChijokx's will clock three months! How time flies is amazing! She now freely smiles, tries to pull up and respond to certain gestures, unlike few weeks ago when she only puts up smiley facial expression mostly when asleep. In fact, lately her hands are mostly open an indication that she's ready to reach out to the her caregivers and the world. Although she tries grabbing but coordination isn't good yet, but her gestures and grabbing seems automatic and instinctual, once she grabs there's no letting go :). Although she can't really grab objects well yet, even still, she struggles to locate her mouth when she wants to sooth her self with her fist.  Lately, we noticed  short periods of time when she is usually calm, quiet but alert. Mehn! the rate newborn develops is really amazing and interesting. The episodes are so fast with obvious changes. AdaChijokx has recorded some major developmental milestones, she has plumped up, loosing her newborn wrinkles, getting more vocal and even her nails seems to be growing out quickly and mommy has been keeping up with trimming them.  AdaChijokx set for her first birthday party Last weekend, baby Kamso attended her first birthday party fully dressed in pink with a sky-blue jacket and a pink hair-band wrapped around her head. She now actively struggles to build her muscles, especially her neck by jerking her body which is gradually smoothing out into a more graceful gestures, hopefully, she can start pulling up freely in a couple of weeks to come. Following mommy's disclosure that she's pregnant, plans were joyfully and jointly set into motion to make AdaChijokx's arrival remarkable. Although, it was a long wait for approximately 39weeks but was exciting and worth the wait! During those periods, mommy experienced intermittent mild cramps during her first trimester, but gradually faded away along the other trimesters and eventually, the successful delivery of AdaChijokes. During mommy's last trimester, baby's item shopping intensified out of joy and excitement, likewise baby's gifts received.Gifts kept pouring in via AdaChijokx-baby registry from friends and family. On the other hand, plans for baby's shower started and list of invites was made by Daddy and mommy. Although, Chikamso had two showers at two different locations (Tampa and Orlando) both in Florida. It was exactly 1103am EST on Tuesday the first day of April, that AdaChijokx experienced her first breathe outside the uterine sac. Unlike, the way it was in the amniotic sac, it seems completely different. It was such an aroma of fresh air pleasing to my nostrils. Even the contents in the sac I was used to, is also different with the room I found my self laying that morning. The latter was filled with people, electronics, medical gadgets and fresh air.Unlike the former which is always filled with just fluids. Sensing my new environment, as a sign of endorsement, AdaChijokx cried on top of her voice; "uwaah! uwaah! uwaah! uwaah!" Everyone seems excited seeing me come out, because there was a rousing ovation and jubilation. I felt so welcomed! After thirty eight (38) weeks and five (5) days of living, feeding, kicking and peeing in mom's womb, AdaChijokx finally decided to show up. It all started on the morning of March 31st at about 10am EST while daddy was away. My kicks is usually felt by mommy intermittently from the womb, but this time, I kicked much harder on mom's amniotic sac covering me and the fluid leaked out gradually. That signaled to my would-be parents that I am ready to come out to embrace them and the beautiful planet earth. The arrival of our adorable Chikamso a.k.a AdaChijokx was a wow! A combination of excitement, surprise, pleasure, wonder and admiration which created overwhelming chains of joy and jubilation among our families, friends and well wishers in both home and away. AdaChijokx's root grew out from a mere conversation between two young, formerly unfamiliar people who later became friends followed by chains of adventures and then finally, a couple. It was exciting how things worked out and still working out. Although few years back, Nneamaka and Chijokx did not know they would eventually meet, get married and be the parents to such an adorable baby. Nevertheless, fate provided the opportunity which brought them together, grew their communication and eventually transformed their relationship into an adventure that blossomed the two hearts towards each other which later became one in Love and gave life to AdaChijokx.
